AES has
teamed with PCI
to design and install PWR Sump strainers at
numerous PWR units. The sump screen replacements include
design, analysis and is construction of the strainer modules,
suction piping connecting strainer modules to the sump, sump plenum
components and supporting elements. The strainers have been designed
and analyzed for DW, debris loads, differential pressure due to debris
and seismic loads.

AES
has worked with Prairie Island to install replacement Containment Fan
Coil Coolers for both Units 1 & 2. We have provided engineering
services covering the entire replacements starting with Procurement
Specification, Modification Package
development, structural analysis of the fan coil housing for the new
cooling coils, rigging evaluations for moving and installing the coils
and outage support.
AES has
supported
numerous stations including Prairie Island, Point
Beach, Kewaunee and Beaver Valley by performing owners acceptance
reviews of all Westinghouse calculations and reports. Additionally we
provided installation /constructability reviews and structural
calculations of temporary component staging and laydown regions for
Prairie Island and Point Beach.

AES
supported Prairie Island for the replacement of the Unit 1 steam
generators. We provided third party reviews of the analyses performed
by the steam generator equipment suppliers. Additionally we provided
numerous modifications and engineering analysis for miscellaneous
piping and supports systems required to support the installation of the
new steam generators. On site installation support was also provided
during the outage.
