Pressure Vessel Design & Analysis
AES brings the capabilities and experience in ASME Section III and VIII vessel designs including performing external load analyses on vessel penetrations and pressure and thermal load analyses on internal components such as tube and tube sheets. We have provided our services to clients including equipment vendors in both the nuclear and non-nuclear markets.

  • IWE Inspections
  • AES staff has developed corrosion/pitting acceptance criteria based on ASME B&PV design rules and actual containment vessel stresses. These criteria have allowed plants to accept sporadic pitting/corrosion as is and limiting maintenance to local underwater coating repairs in lieu of full suppression pool draining and recoating. AES is also well versed in ASME IWE/IWL requirements and programs.

AES has performed numerous evaluation of containment penetrations for various issues, including: load increases, corrosion issues, containment bellows replacements, and pipe break analysis. AES has performed detailed stress analysis for Reactor Pressure Vessels (RPV) penetrations, drywell shell penetrations, torus penetrations, vent line penetrations, and other miscellaneous pressure vessel penetrations.

AES has performed numerous evaluations and design for various code pressure vessels. This includes vessels designed to ASME B&PV Section III and Section XI. AES has extensive knowledge of the ASME code rules for design and fabrication of pressure vessels.

AES has performed numerous evaluations and design for various code pressure vessels. This includes vessels designed to ASME B&PV Section III and Section XIII. AES has extensive knowledge of the ASME code rules for design and fabrication of pressure vessels.
